From the puppy years til now our family pet Nikita has always slept under blankets. We thought she might like something warm to wear, but it has been hard to find tailored clothes for large dogs. After finding several garments that she happily wore, we decided to start CVDB to provide similar apparel for other large dogs. We proudly support the ASPCA and Humane Society and their efforts to help find good homes for other rescue dogs like our best pal.

Q and A
How can I convince my best big pal to wear a shirt?
Take your time. Most dogs enjoy it. The slight pressure of many garments has shown to have calming effects. Try our calming vest above if this is a concern. In general, dogs like putting on their clothes just like humans – one leg at a time. Wait until your best pal is calm, and then have a treat or two ready. Put your pals front legs in first and then pull the garment over his or her head. Let your pal wear the garment for a short time at first, or until making a fuss, then take off the garment and offer the treat. Gradually increase the length of time with future trials.
How do I know what size to purchase?
Many of our garments are listed by weight for your convenience. For example: ecoCoats, ecoPrints, and more. Click on the pictures to read descriptions and find the size that is best for your pal. The materials used are flexible enough to fit a wide range of weights and body types.
Have these garments been tested?
Yes. Our best pal Nikita is an active eighty-pound boxer-mix rescue dog. She is pictured above wearing the Green ecoCoat. She has tested dozens of garments and only her favorites make the cut.
